Before the Quarter Begins
Once you’ve enrolled at IBC, meaning your application is complete and you’ve gone through the enrollment process with an Admissions Representative, make sure you’ve completed all the other necessary steps prior to the first day of classes.
Log in to myIBC Student Portal account.
You should have received your student portal log-in information. Inside myIBC Student Portal account you will have the ability to manage your payments and accounts, see your grades, contact faculty and much more. You will rely on this account throughout your time as a student at IBC. Contact your Admissions Representative if you aren’t sure what your log-in information is.

Make sure your account balance is up to date and fully paid.
You can check your account balance by logging into myIBC Student Portal or by contacting your IBC Admissions Representative. Depending on the program in which you’re enrolled other fees may be required in addition to your tuition payment. Most students have applied for and received financial aid in order to make these payments.
Register and get your quarterly schedule.
Registration is easy. If you are an on-campus student (meaning you attend all or some of your classes at one of IBC’s 12 Indiana locations) you will register on campus; your Admissions Representative will provide you with all the information you need. If your classes are 100% online, you will register online. Prior to the registration date IBC will send you an e-mail with complete instructions for the online registration process. You can also learn more about registering here.
Purchase your books and other program materials.
After you register you’ll have your class list and know what books you need to purchase (and other materials, such as scrubs for some medical students). Most on-campus students purchase books at their campus’s bookstore. Online students go to the online bookstore.
Log in to your IBC student e-mail account.
You should have also received your student e-mail account information. Go to the IBC student e-mail log in page and make sure it’s activated.

Online Students: Warm up with an Online Mini-Course.
As an online student, you’ll receive information and links to take a mini-course prior to the start of the quarter. This practice session will allow you to get used to how online classes work, and to become familiar with all the utilities and features that surround the online classroom. Students find this mini-course to be very helpful in preparing them for their first real day of classes. If you don’t receive information, ask your Admissions Representative about taking the mini-course.
