  • Indiana Business College to Focus on Educating Marion Community via Online

    Effective January 2009, IBC will no longer enroll new students in residential programs at Marion Indiana Business College serves the State of Indiana and beyond through a variety of educational delivery methods including on-ground, online, hybrid, and blended teaching models. To focus on the overall needs of the College and the college’s value statements of Excellence, Service, and Compliance, it becomes necessary at times to adjust the educational delivery models to ensure IBC is applying appropriate resources in the most efficient manner within the College and in the communities we serve.

  • IBC finds success during tough times: Key to success is putting students first

    Amidst economic uncertainty Indiana Business College enjoys its best semester start in its 106 year history, enrolling almost 1,500 new students for the 2008 fall semester. The greater than fifteen percent growth in new student enrollment from last year is attributed to Indiana Business College’s focus on quality and excellence in the classroom, service to students and career specific training to keep Hoosiers ahead of the education curve.

  • Mayor Ballard addresses education at IBC Awards Day

The Mayor re-enforced his commitment to education and stated, “As I communicated during my State of the City and subsequent communications, public safety and education are two of the most important issues we plan to address in this Administration.”

  • Kevin Hesler named Director of Information Systems

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Indiana Business College is pleased to announce that Kevin Hesler has been named the College’s next Director of Information Systems. Prior to joining Indiana Business College, Kevin spent seventeen years with Conseco in progressive information technology leadership roles as a Senior Director and Vice President in such functional areas as: web infrastructure, development, and deployment; enterprise applications; e-business; and project management.

  • Indiana Business College to hold grand opening for Elkhart campus

    ELKHART, IN—Indiana Business College will hold a grand opening event Tuesday, October 23, to celebrate the official launch of the new Elkhart campus, the 12th campus in Indiana. The new educational facility, a 10,000-square-foot campus at C.R. 17 and C.R. 14, will have room for 300 to 350 students and will offer Associate Degrees in the medical and business fields.

  • Indiana Business College program earns national certification

    MARION, IN—The Medical Assisting degree program at Indiana Business College’s Marion campus recently received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). While the Marion campus has been recognized and approved through the Accrediting Council of Independent College and Schools (ACICS) to offer the Medical Assisting program since 2003, the CAAHEP accreditation is an additional certification that will affect students directly.

  • Disney recruits students from The Chef’s Academy: Impressed with school’s curriculum and instructors

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Disney has accepted seven students from The Chef’s Academy, Indiana Business College’s Culinary Division, for internships at various restaurant properties in the Disney Corporation. Josh Slagle, 30, Culinary Arts student at The Chef’s Academy, was one of the few students selected for a Disney internship. According to Slagle, the offer is positive for him and his school.

  • New Veterinary Technology program at Indiana Business College

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN—The Indianapolis – Northwest campus of Indiana Business College has hired William B. Finney, BS, DVM, as Program Director to lead the launch and management of the new Veterinary Technician Associate Degree program. The program will prepare students to become registered veterinary technicians, an integral part of the veterinary health care team.

  • Indiana Business College graduate receives national award

    EVANSVILLE, IN—Indiana Business College graduate Terri Poczerwinski has been chosen by the Career College Association to receive one of four 2007 GREAT Awards. Each year the CCA recognizes a select number of students who have excelled academically while overcoming adversity to achieve their educational goals. Poczerwinski will receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C., in March to attend the awards ceremony.

  • Indiana Business College student population reaches record number

    LAFAYETTE, IN—Indiana Business College’s Lafayette campus has reached its largest student population in the campus’ history. Total student enrollment as of January 2007 was 329 students, a 24% increase over January 2006 total enrollment. “We’re changing more and more lives than we ever have in the past,” said Greg Reger, Executive Director of the Lafayette campus.

  • Women start business after completing Indiana Business College program

    MARION, IN—When Thomson Consumer Electronics closed its doors in March of 2004, JoAnn Maynard and Kay Jones were uncertain about their future. With limited job prospects, they each decided to enroll in a specialized program at Indiana Business College called S.O.A.R. (Service, Office, Administration and Retail). After successfully completing the program, Maynard and Jones began their own cleaning business, Grime Busters.

  • The Chef's Academy begins training future chefs

    INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Indiana Business College will hold a grand opening for its new culinary division – The Chef’s Academy – on October 12. The Chef’s Academy is the first accredited school in Indiana to focus solely on culinary and pastry arts. The new culinary school boasts 27,000 square feet, including two state-of-the-art kitchens and five classrooms.

  • Indiana Business College collects coats for CODA
    TERRE HAUTE, IN—The Terre Haute campus of Indiana Business College participated in a community service project and generated nearly $4,000 in donations for the Council on Domestic Abuse (CODA). The Group Dynamics class created the project as part of a community outreach activity. The project soon gained support from the Terre Haute IBC student population and others.

    TERRE HAUTE, IN—Indiana Business College recently provided a two-week A+ training and certification course at the Hulman Regional Airport Air Guard Station in Terre Haute. After the course trainees will be certified in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and basic computer networking.

  • Tuition freeze program at Indiana Business College
    INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Indiana Business College has created a program to alleviate the fear of increased tuition. All students at Indiana Business College who stay continuously enrolled throughout their program will not be subject to future increases in tuition.
